The X Factor in Healing

The X Factor in Healing

“True healing is the healing of the whole life. Short of this, we are only alleviating the symptoms”. Dr P Solomon

If disease and disharmony trouble us, then it is likely that our thinking is sometimes strained and unclear, or we easily become emotionally upset and act in ways that we later regret, all of these factors contribute to disease. The internal stresses of such patterns can eventually cause the body to weaken and become prone to symptoms of various kinds.

To be a channel for healing, or to be healed, it is essential to understand ourselves as a spiritual, mental, physical and emotional being. True healing requires a change in consciousness towards our attitudes, beliefs, emotions, and even our symptoms, especially in our relationship towards self, and others. The word Healing means to be whole or in harmony in Mind, Body and Spirit. When we are expressing symptoms, it is a clear sign that some thing needs to change in order to return to a natural and healthy state of being. It could be said that symptoms are Natures language giving us the opportunity to read the signs and change whatever is necessary in our lives to come back to a state of well being.

One of the best Doctors I ever encountered was not a medical practitioner but an honest friend! Who asked me at a time when I had shingles ” Why aren’t you taking responsibility for listening to your own body, your are exhausted yet still you are stressing and pushing yourself, Please stop relax and listen”. Needless to say, I retorted in a defensive and stressful manner, knowing all along that they were right but not wanting to hear it! I was not and had not been listening to my own intuitive awareness. The inner voice saying stop please stop. When my body became so sick that I had to stop, I had time to relax and listen. I did eventually heal myself, not only of my physical symptoms but my symtomonius thinking, behaviour and life style.

  • Why Getting Back to Nature is so Important for our Wellbeing
  • June 1, 2010
  • When I am close to nature it’s as if my whole being, mind, body and soul finds a renewed lease of life, it is such a deeply subtle yet profound experience that it is beyond the reach of words to explain. During and after such experiences I am lead to wonder WHY on earth we would even want to cut ourselves off from our natural way of being in exchange for what amounts to purely selling our souls for a man made concepts of happiness?
